Mobile car key replacement at Heathrow Airport (LHR)

247 Auto Locksmith covers landside car parks at London Heathrow Airport for drivers who have lost a key, locked a key in the car, need a spare, or need a fob or ignition repaired at the vehicle. Heathrow sits in the London Borough of Hillingdon on the TW6 postcode. We run the airport from the same East Grinstead RH19 workshop that covers Kingston upon Thames, Richmond upon Thames, Weybridge, Esher, Chessington and Fulham.

This is one business, not a Heathrow branch. The workshop address and map pin stay at Greenhedges, Felcot Road, East Grinstead RH19 2QA.

Landside only — terminals and official car parks

Heathrow’s open passenger terminals are Terminal 2, Terminal 3, Terminal 4 and Terminal 5. Terminal 1 is closed. We attend landside parks serving those terminals. We cannot go airside, onto stands, or into restricted airfield areas.

Official landside parks we are commonly asked to include:

  • Short Stay at Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5
  • Heathrow Long Stay
  • Heathrow Business Parking
  • Other landside passenger or staff parks when you can name the park and give a bay or row

T2 and T3 sit on the central campus, T4 is on the south side, and T5 is on the western campus. Those are different drives and different short-stay decks. Name the terminal first — “Heathrow” alone is not enough for us to walk to the right row.

If you used an independent off-airport meet-and-greet, say so. We still need a landside meeting point we can drive to. If the car is in Staines, Hounslow or Feltham, we still come to the locator you give us. Nearby towns we cover are listed below.

Road access is the M4 (junctions 4 and 4a), the M25 (junctions 14 and 15) and the A4. That is a different corridor from Gatwick’s M23/A23 run. The other airport we cover is Gatwick.

What to have ready when you call

Heathrow parks are large and split by terminal. Have this to hand:

  1. Terminal number — 2, 3, 4 or 5.
  2. Car park name — short stay, long stay or business parking.
  3. Floor, zone, row and bay if the ticket or signs show them.
  4. Registration, make, model and colour.
  5. What happened — all keys lost, key locked in, fob dead, ignition jammed, or a spare needed.
  6. Whether any key still exists — at home, with a family member, or none at all.

Call 07921 365 247 or WhatsApp the same details. We confirm a fixed price before we travel. There is no call-out fee.

Lost keys after a flight

The usual Heathrow call is a driver who flew out, came back through T2–T5, and cannot find the key — or finds only a damaged fob. Lost car key replacement is done at the vehicle where the make allows it. We cut and programme a new key on site in most cases, including all-keys-lost jobs.

If the key is locked inside a short-stay deck, start with vehicle opening. Non-destructive entry is the default. Once the door is open we can recover the original key or, if that key is broken, move on to replacement or key repair.

A longer walkthrough of airport lost-key jobs is on our Gatwick and Heathrow knowledge-centre guide.

Spare keys, programming and ignition work

Long-stay parking is a common moment to add a spare car key so the next trip is not an all-keys-lost job. If the fob still unlocks but the blade is worn, or the buttons have failed, we can often recase or programme a replacement transponder or remote at the bay.

Jammed, sticky or spinning ignitions are ignition barrel jobs. We diagnose before replacing. Mercedes electronic steering lock work is on ESL / ESCL programming. Body control module coding is on BCM programming.

How a Heathrow job works

  1. Tell us the job. Call or WhatsApp with the registration, terminal and landside park locator.
  2. Get a fixed price. No call-out fee — you agree the price before we travel.
  3. We come to the vehicle. The van attends the landside bay you named.
  4. Key cut and coded on site. Most replacements, spares and lockouts finish at the car.

Average arrival is 25 to 60 minutes. The M4, M25 and the walk across a long-stay bus transfer all change how the job starts. We give a clear update when we have your terminal and locator.
